The Bears have released the schedule for the 2021 NFL season, and it looks like Chicago will begin the season on the road at Lambeau Field, where they lost to the Packers in the NFC Championship last season. This year, the Bears are 1-0 against the Packers. The remainder of the home schedule includes games against the Titans, Texans, Patriots and Dolphins. On the road, the Bears will be facing the Rams, Jets, Dolphins, Raiders and Patriots. They also have a bye week in week 4. The Bears ended this season with a 10-6 record and made the playoffs before being eliminated in the first round by the Rams.
The Chicago Bears’ 2021 schedule has been released and the team will be playing the New England Patriots in opening week. The matchup will take place in Foxboro on September 9, a Sunday. The schedules for Week 2 and Week 3 have also been released and these show a home game against the Los Angeles Rams and a road game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Tonight, the NFL finally released the full schedule for the 2021 season. This year, however, the NFL will expand its schedule for the first time in forty-three years. In 1978 the league went from a 14 game schedule to a 16 game schedule which everyone was already used to. Still, for the first time in its history, the NFL will have a 17-game schedule.
Therefore, as usual, there have been many leaks before the official release of the calendar. Many of these reports were unconfirmed. However, the league has officially confirmed the first round games. In Week 1, the Chicago Bears open the season Sunday night in Los Angeles against the Rams.
Here’s the Chicago Bears’ complete game plan for 2021:

Bears in prime time?
Despite a meager result in 2020, the Bears will be back in the spotlight in 2021. The NFL has them scheduled for four primetime games (excluding the Thanksgiving game). This can be directly related to the selection of Justin Fields. While it’s great to have him in the spotlight in front of a national audience, it’s a little disappointing to see how much of a disadvantage he is to the Bears. In fact, of the five primetime games, only one will take place at Soldier Field. It’s even more disappointing that the Bears are finally getting the fans back in their seats.
Here’s a rundown of all the primetime games the Bears will play in 2021.
- Week 1: Los Angeles Rams (SNF)
- Week 9: Pittsburgh Steelers (MNF)
- Week 12: Detroit Lions (Thanksgiving)
- Week 14: Green Bay Packers (SNF)
- Matchday 15: Against the Minnesota Vikings (MNF)
Hourly output
The Bears will have their third toughest schedule next season based on the 2020 rankings. While last year’s results have no bearing on what happens in 2021, it’s still an interesting fact.

According to @ButkusStats, here are some numbers that either confirm or deny some concerns about the strength of the scheme.
