From 2013 to 2014 Mr. Kotter began his career as a professional coach and worked as an assistant at NBL Sydney King’s and as head coach of the New South Wales Basketball Sport Institute. Cotter has been appointed head coach of the Kings of Sydney for the 2014-2015 campaign. At the beginning of the 2017-18 season Cotter traveled to North America and was hired by the Brooklyn Nets – Long Island Nets G-League team as assistant coach. At the end of the season, he was hired for the same role by the Washington Wizard G-league team, Capital City Go-Go. He then went over to the G-League Bulls team as head coach.

Billy Schmidt’s been following Billy Donovan since they moved to Florida. During the 2014-2015 season he was assistant coach of the alligators. Before joining Donovan in Florida, Schmidt spent the last 11 seasons as an assistant at the University of Dayton (2003-2011) and Georgia Tech (2011-2014) under head coach Brian Gregory. Schmidt started his career as a student manager at Wake Forest (1988-92).

Schmidt further developed his assistant coaching career in Tennessee (1994-97), Northwestern (1997-2000), Seton Hall (2000) and Michigan (2001-03).

Tai Ebbot previously held the positions of player development manager and player development specialist for the Sixers G-League and the NBA team respectively. As a player, he was the first All Pac 12 team in Arizona and then played professionally in Europe.

Arizona State Guard Tai Abbott (3) is on the baseline during the first half of the NCAA basketball game against Washington State on Thursday 20. January 2011, in Pullman, Washington. Abbott leads the state of Arizona by 16 points. Washington State won 78-61.

Last year Max Rothschild also came from the Sixers organization as head of player development. Prior to his role in the Sixers he was team captain and a striking star of the Penn Quakers.

It is interesting to note that both Abbott and Rothschild were snatched from the Sixers by Marc Eversly, who worked for the organization, before he was appointed CEO of Bull.

This coaching staff has a long list of playing and coaching experiences, both here in the United States and abroad. I hope that all this knowledge will be sewn together and that the bulls will bring the best product on the ground this year.
