Christmas lighting
Lincoln Park Zoo Lights ComEd and Invesco

The zoo currently hosts the annual Light Festival. Due to the pandemic, this year’s event is limited, but it is just as fun and lively as in previous years. The event is currently sold out.

Lighting: Tree lighting at Morton Arboretum
In the Morton Arboretum there is a light show with light, music and other forms of Christmas celebrations. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes. Although the event is currently sold out, their website indicates that they offer extra tickets on Mondays every week.

Rocky Mountain Night Lights Santa Claus Fair in Lake County

There is a light show at the Lake District Fairgrounds that lasts about 20-30 minutes. All lights are synchronized with the music. Reservations are required.

This part of Horner Park has arches and some of the best lighting in the city. It’s the perfect place for an Instagram background!

Skating in Maggie Daly Park
While the Bean Skate is closed, Maggie Daley’s track is open. This requires non-transferable reserves. Skate rent is $16 and using your own skates is $5.
Ice skating in Rosemont

Ice skating on the Wolves of Chicago rink at Bankway Parkway is again in the spotlight this year. Access to the course is FREE, but a credit card is required for reservations. Guests who do not show up to skate will be charged $8 per person. The rent of the skates is $8.

Don’t forget to check the CTA holiday train and bus this weekend. Riders aren’t allowed, but it’s hard not to notice how they light up the city.

Museum of Science and Industry: Christmas worldwide (online)

Normally this is a mandatory Christmas event in the city, but MSI has made it an online event because of the current COVID-19 restrictions. The next round is scheduled for Friday the 18th. December at 3.30 p.m.

Santa’s garage and entrance
The Waldron Bridge and the southern car park at Soldier Field have been transformed into a merry-go-round full of lights, displays and Santa Claus and his helpers. The ride will take you to Rudolph the Red-Nosed Deer.
Winter village of Jack Frost
Jack’s house is located ten acres of Goose Island and is a winter hike and a tree nursery. It’s the perfect place to show how strong your Instagram game is.

This game will definitely be on television this weekend. When it comes to the CCA title and the university football play-offs, these teams are going to give everything on the pitch. There will be a lot of anger, especially after the last game of the season where Notre Dame won a 47-40 overtime thriller. Clemson’s star quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, will be in good health this time. Watch the latest episode of Irish On Tap for a preview of the game.
14 North-western (6-1) vs. 4 Ohio State (5-0)

Two of the top schools in the Big Ten are participating in a conference championship. Will the state of Ohio secure the last play-off spot or will Northwestern Crown have an incredible season with a victory over the Buckeyes?
Illinois (2-5) to Penn State (3-5)
Saturday, 7:12 p.m., 4:30 p.m., TV on FS1.
The 9th. Inter-divisional matches in the Big Ten are seldom played because of the many cancellations of COVID-19. Illinois and Penn State, however, will face this weekend in Happy Valley. Illini fired head coach Lovie Smith after last week’s loss to Northwestern. Offensive coordinator Rod Smith will take over.

Bulls in a Storm
