City of Chicago Christmas tree

One house

Photo : Cary Angell Luke/Pioneer Press

Do you want to see where the movie Home Alone was shot? Go to Winnetka and see for yourself! You never know, you might see some wet thugs chasing Kevin through a window. The surrounding houses and the church were part of the film, and the film locations in the city centre are only a few blocks away.

Professional advice : Park on Pine Street, right across the railroad, before you go home. It is less than a block away and there is free parking on the street. More people than you think travel to see this attraction. In addition, parking is not permitted on Lincoln Avenue, and the Winnetka Police Department patrols Lincoln Avenue because it is very busy. This advice will save you a traffic jam.

  • Place: 671 Lincoln Avenue, Winnetka, IL 60093

Winter village of Jack Frost

Jack’s house is located ten acres of Goose Island and is a winter hike and a tree nursery. It’s the perfect place to show how strong your Instagram game is. The last day is Saturday the 2nd. January!

Chicago Bears (8-7) versus Green Bay Packers (12-3)

  • Sunday 1 March at 15:25 on FOX

It all comes down to week 17 for the Chicago Bears. If they win Sunday’s game against the hated Green Bay Packers, they qualify for the playoffs. Mitchell Trubisky will have a hard time catching up with Aaron Rodgers. In week 16 the Bears took on the Jaguars, who were very disappointing. Will Chicago lose the steak to the Packers to further destroy their hopes of making the playoffs? I hope not. Watch the Bears On Tap podcast for intrigue, analysis and commentary around the game.

I hope you’re still in your fantasy football league. Make sure you have the right setup by checking Pat Boadway’s starts and spots for week 17. For more tips on fantasy football, check out the Fantasy Chair Hour podcast.

This concludes the fourth edition of What’s On Tap in Chicago this weekend. As you can see, there’s a lot to do in and around Chicago, so don’t be put off by the ongoing pandemic! Don’t forget to come back every week for the upcoming events.

As always, feel free to leave us a comment if you think we should add to the list for this or next weekend!
