Ice skating in Maggie Daly Park

While skating is closed at Bean, an ice rink has opened at Maggie Daly Park. This requires non-transferable reserves. Skate rental is $16 and use of your own skates is $5.
Ice skating in Rosemont
Skating on the Wolves of Chicago rink at Bankway Parkway is in the spotlight again this year. Admission to the course is FREE, but reservations require a credit card. Guests who do not show up to skate will be charged $8 per person. The skate rental is $8.

Snowpipe and Wilmot brewery

If you can ski, snowboard or tub in Wilmot, there’s another way to spend a weekend. There is a package that includes a bus that leaves downtown Chicago and takes you directly to Wilmot and back, where you can enjoy two hours of snow tubing. The price is $149 and includes dinner, a free beer, a tubing session and a round trip bus ticket. Tickets for this weekend are sold out, but weekends in late January and February are sold out.

Fire and ice bar
While most winter/holiday pop-ups happen in December, this one on West Loop Lane opens in December. In the patio, ice sculptures, fireplaces, s’mores and cocktails are included in the ticket price.

Magic Home Salon – Illusionist Dennis Watkins
Dennis Watkins usually stays at Palmer House, but this time it’s a virtual event thanks to COVID-19. Its magic and illusions take place on the internet. Some of his tricks require you to have a deck of cards while you watch. Watkins’ show is number one on TripAdvisor.

Isaiah Collier is one of Chicago’s most promising jazz artists who has achieved fame. Collier and his group made a game with the numbers 3-6-9. This is a project with a matching trio.
Sporting events
Here are all the sporting events involving Chicago teams taking place this weekend. Fans won’t be at the state games, so enjoy them from your couch. The Bulls head south this weekend, visiting the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Dallas Mavericks. Although the Bulls have been close in their last three games, they are still in a losing streak. The Blackhawks begin the 2021 season in the state of Florida. While Stan Bowman has offered Jeremy Colliton another contract extension, fans are skeptical that this season will be nothing more than a developmental year for the team’s young players. The Blackhawks lost 5-1 in their first game against the Lightning. Illinois last played on Sunday night when the Maryland Terrapins beat them at Champaign.
